during my stay, I loved how close Burslem Park was, which made for a lovely stroll, and I also enjoyed the quick walk to Middleport Pottery to explore the local culture, making my city strolls incredibly enjoyable.

Decent stay with a cozy vibe

My mates and I had a blast at this spot during music nights nearby. The room's nice and roomy with a balcony for chillin' outside. The bathroom was huge and had everything I needed since I have a bit of trouble getting around. Staff were super friendly, but the carpets could really use a good clean.

Family with children suitable for a short stay

When we checked in, the staff were surprisingly friendly and accommodating, really appreciated that! They even went out of their way to provide fruit and flowers in the room, a nice touch especially after what we went through to get there.

It wasn't exactly budget-friendly but still acceptable enough for a one-night stay.

The area around the hotel was perfect for exploring outdoors, with lovely trails for hiking and biking. Despite the challenges, we managed to enjoy our time visiting nearby attractions, making the most out of our family getaway with two little kids.

For dads, it would be great if the rooms had better amenities for families. My kids wished there had been space for playtime without feeling cramped.

I enjoyed the unique charm of the George. The old building had an interesting history that added to its character. The staff greeted me warmly at reception and were friendly throughout my stay. My room was clean and offered a decent space to relax after a day of exploring. The lack of food options was disappointing, as I expected at least some bar snacks after a long day. the bathroom could use a bit more attention. it seemed well-kept but had areas needing repair, particularly the shower. The location was convenient, but the surrounding area felt a little sketchy.

A bit of nostalgia, but needs TLC

Came back after 50 years for some old memories, but honestly, the room was a letdown. Stained pillows and a lack of hot water? Not cool. The bar area was decent for a quick drink, but the breakfast was pretty grim—rancid bacon isn't what I expected to start my day. Hope they fix it up!

Had an awesome time with friends! We explored the hiking trails nearby and enjoyed mountain biking in the gorgeous weather. The place had a relaxed vibe, and the staff was friendly. it was a good spot to unwind and catch up with each other.

The room we got had an issue with the dirty carpet and a broken lock. We were lucky to move to a different one, but it was frustrating at first.

Free wi-fi and 24-hour reception were great, but the room smelled strongly of cigarettes.
